Topics include: OSHA required confined-space entry standard, hazards of entry procedures, personal  protective equipment, ventilation and purging requirements, calculations and techniques, and atmospheric  testing equipment. Hands-on training with combustible gas monitors, oxygen meters, toxic gas test  equipment, and confined space rescue procedures.

 By the end of this course, the student will be able to:

·        List the elements of OSHA's Permit-Required Confined Spaces for General Industry standard

·        Recognize, evaluate, prevent, and abate safety and health hazards associated with confined space entry

·        Document violations of the Permit-Required Confined Spaces standard

·        Evaluate or write a specific permit-required confined space program
